Here are The Eras of Roblox!!! Researched and (partly) coined by me!

Era 0: Pre-release (ca. 2003-2006)

This was the time before Roblox's offical release on Sept 1, 2006

Era 1: Primiblox Era (ca. 2006-2012)

This was Roblox's first couple of years of existance. It's usally recoginzed as Roblox's "classic" period. It's during this time that the Awesomesauce era of Internet culture would have it's influnce in Roblox (+the 2nd Era)

HELLLLLOOO

Era 2: Stamper Era (ca. 2010-2016)

This was Roblox's first major increase in quality, following their introdution of sponsed events in 2010. Named after the Stamper tool, since it's relavence was rin this era alone. Lots of games by kids used it, including my own. Major changes during this era include:

+ Roblox's 1st sponsored event, Zeke and Luther (March 2010) -

This Disney event would introduce Robloxians to the world of skateboards and the act of skateboarding, which would cause the birth of RoSkaters, a MAJOR piece of this era's culture!

+ Packages (known today as Bundles) (May 14, 2010) -

Gave players the ability to customaize their avatar's physical bodies. Iconic packages include Mr Roboto, CoolKidMcAwesome, and the 2.0 Robloxian, which was actually the 1st package to be released. 2.O Robloxian was disliked by a good portion of the community at release. Many believed that it didn't fit the blocky style Roblox is known for. Though, Packages would be accepted by the overall community in the following years. I personally remember seeing the 2.0 Robloxian EVERYWHERE in dis Era.

+ Stamper Tools (Late 2010) -

The stamper tools series were a new fun way for players to get into Roblox building, even causals. They operated by having various tools for specific tasks:
  • The Stamper - The main tool. Players used it to build by "stamping" (inserting) Roblox-published models and decals.
  • Delete Tool - The eraser. Allowed players to delete blocks they've placed.
  • Rotate Tool - Allowed players to rotate blocks.
  • Configuration Tool - Used to set/modify the behavior of certion models.
  • Writing Tool - Used to wire wireable blocks like switches, lights, movable spikes, etc.
  • These guys were commonplace in Personal Servers (2011-2016) and in building/sandbox games like "Sandbox" by NullSenseStudio and "Welcome To ROBLOX Building" by Roblox themselves. They would be removed in 2017 due to the deprecation of InsertService, which the tool relied on. This service was removed to to its danger as it could insert any model thru exploits (NEEDZ CITATION. DIS IS JUST GUESS AND QUICK READING).

    + 1st Roblox Convention, "ROBLOX Rally 2011" (Aug 1, 2011)

Many of the groundbreaking features from this Era would be announced and even showcased at this very convention.

    + Legacy Terrain (Oct 7, 2011) -

Brought realism and more options to roblox environments. It was voxel based and very blocky. It was compared to Minecraft by many and some even called it a knockoff, even if voxel based terrain generations weren't a Minecraft-only feature. This feature would be replaced by New Terrain in the 3rd Era.

    + Dynamic Lighting (May 9, 2013)-

Brought realism to Roblox's lighting. There were other lighting-based updates throughout this Era, this is just one of the most notable ones imo.
